Form II
فَعَّلَ — Intensive / causative
Form II takes the basic action of Form I and intensifies or causes it. The signature feature is the doubled middle radical (marked by شَدَّة). Example: كَسَرَ (to break) becomes كَسَّرَ (to shatter into pieces); عَلِمَ (to know) becomes عَلَّمَ (to teach). Example root: ع ل م (ʿ-l-m).
